Celtics Central: Eat That Lebron

Hmm…where was our league MVP tonight? Somebody took a night off, and the Cavs paid big time. Not too much to say about the evening’s 120-88 debauchery of Cleveland by the Celtics except for “hell yeah!” Ray Allen led the scoring, tallying up 6 three balls for 25 points, while Paul Pierce had a double double of 21 and 11 rebounds. As for #23, he was far from Jordan (the real #23). 15 points on 3 of 14 shooting and 3 turnovers.

I said it from the beginning: Celtics in 6. Naturally, since you are at Token Sports, I had to be the token “C’s fan boldly proclaiming the upset.” It’s my go-to blogging move, and now here we sit, a game away from the Eastern Conference Finals against the Orlando Magic, who will be defending the East title from last year. Thursday night sure won’t be a gimme game, but expect the Celtics to come out with lots of fire, knowing that it’s better to close Lebron Inc. out as soon as possible than take our chances with a game 7.
