McNabb Nabs Ginormous contract

Good timing Donovan, seeing as you got your a55 handed to you tonight after signing papers that give a gazillion dollars.

…never mind whether he was worth a pair of draft picks. The Redskins figure he’s worth $40 million in guaranteed money…Two weeks after they caused an uproar by benching him in the final 1:50 of a loss to the Detroit LLions, the Redskins on Monday signed McNabb to a five-year contract extension worth $78 million — giving top-grade money to a quarterback who is about to turn 34 and is having his worst season since he was a rookie. A source told ESPN NFL Insider Michael Smith, who first reported the agreement, that McNabb’s contract could be worth $88 million if incentives in the contract are reached.
A friend asked me today “Are the Redskins the stupidest franchise in sports?” After much thought, I can’t think of another team that has done so little with so much money, all the while putting out horrible teams year after year.
