Tiger’s game is missing something

Notice something missing from the cover of Tiger Woods ’12? Sure, we have a nice big image of one of the most iconic holes in golf at one of the most iconic courses in the world, making us salivate that we can virtually play Augusta National, but that little guy hitting a 9-iron into the green? That’s Tiger.

No big expression of joy. No big body taking up the game’s cover. And even the title of the game has been diminished to make room for the final hold-out from the number 1 selling golf game of all time: Augusta National. Is this a sign that soon Tiger will be dropped completely from the EA golf franchise?

While we wait to find out Tiger’s future, I’m having trouble sitting still as I imagine putting one close on Redbud, #16, my favorite hole on the course. Home of this little chip from Tiger many years ago.
