The Golf Boys: Album Coming Soon

The personnel is certainly changing with the times on the PGA Tour. It’s 2012, and golf is starting to finally act like it (thank god). With fresh faces winning every week, golfers tweeting everything, and the growing appeal to younger audiences, it’s only right that we take it to the next level and start the party.

So, how about a boy band of PGA Tour Pros? Brilliant!

Ben Crane, Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson are The Golf Boys, and their dominance upon the Billboard Charts and the airwaves is inevitable. The quirkiness of Ben, the mystique of Hunter, the hair of Rickie, and the toughness of Bubba form the greatest thing to happen to the PGA Tour’s younger image in a while.

The video has gone viral since its 2011 debut with over 3 million views on youtube alone. So, in the spirit of the raucous 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale last week, Ben and Bubba decided they would give an impromptu performance in the middle of the tournament.

“We planned it a couple holes before that,” Watson said. “He actually came to me in the morning when I showed up, and we talked about doing it because we didn’t know we were going to be playing together…“We were just trying to get them fired up,” Watson said before turning sarcastic. “We like to party. It was boring (on 16) and we brought it back.”

They were paired together on Saturday to make that magic happen. It was in front of 30,000 drunk golf fans on the par 3 16th hole. It was epic, to say the least…

Here’s the original music video for their smash hit “Oh Oh Oh”
