Great Sports Sunday!
Let’s Count down the Most Desireable watches for Sports TV fans on this Sunday before the holiday:
#5: MLB All-Star selection special – Let’s see who gets in and who gets snubbed. Also, let’s see who knuckleball wielder R.A. Dickey is going to start the All-Star game against. Another sign that the apocalypse is near: a knuckleballer is dominating baseball right now!
#4: MLB Baseball – It’s a chock full MLB Sunday, and if you have the MLB Network, you’re in luck. They will be jumping around the league showing you live highlights of the best games all day long. Baseball leads all the way up to the Mets-Dodgers night cap on ESPN.
#3: Breakfast at Wimbledon – That just send chills down your spine, doesn’t it? It’s like the British Open of the Tennis (or maybe even The Masters). So much history, Federer will be in action, the perfection of thinly shaved green grass at the all the All England Club…everything is lined up for Tennis fans today. This is the big one.
#2: Tiger, Tiger, Tiger – Yep, he’s back in contention. Besides a gutsy Hunter Mahan two shots back, there’s no one ele of note stopping him from winning his 3rd title of the year. He sits 1 shot back of Brendan DeJonge, after firing a 67 that no one saw Saturday. I’m sure Tiger loved playing Congressional yesterday with no fans or volunteers at the course (cause of a dangerous storm that left damage on the course). He always seems to be the most distracted player…
#1 Euro Cup Final 2012 – Spain vs. Italy to determine the throne of soccer in Europe. This gets top billing in America for soccer fans, and all over the world for the sports-loving population. Spain beat Portugal on PK’s and Italy snuck by Germany the other day, setting up the final. I like the peskiness of the Italians on defense to take the cup, 2-1.
What a day! Enjoy it!
