Fight Fight Fight!
The hell with Friday night fights on ESPN2, the Red Sox/Orioles game had the best fight action on Friday night. I do wish there were some more punches landed, but hey, the action was entertaining. Check it out:
Really Big Papi?!
It’s great to see the big guys steal in base on the diamond. It’s like the basketball equvalent of a 7 footer dishing out a behind the back pass. This is from the Sox game last night. Padres pitcher Matt Latos probably feels like crap after allowing this.

Woo Woo A-Gon Is A Hero
That score held through a tenuous bottom of the eighth and into the bottom of the ninth, when closer Kevin Gregg emerged from the Orioles’ bullpen to nail things down. He couldn’t nail things down. After retiring the first batter he faced, Gregg issued consecutive walks to Ellsbury and Pedroia to put the tying and winning runs on base. He then started Adrian Gonzalez off with a low curveball, but Gonzalez attacked the first pitch and drove a towering opposite-field fly off the Monster. The ball hung up plenty long enough to allow both runners to score, and the Red Sox walked off with their fourth straight win…
Couple this with the ongoing Yankee drama with Posada and company, and I’m officially worry free about the games we spotted NYC in April. We’re good to go for the summer!
